'MellowTone started as a simple vision: to share real Neapolitan pizza with Mountain View. Established by the Johnson lineage in 1985, our small, family-owned pizzeria was born, relying on recipes that have been passed down from one generation to the next.
Emily Johnson, our originator, mastered the craft of pizza creation while exploring Italy, taking notes from accomplished pizzaiolos in Naples, the home of pizza. When she came back to the UK, she aimed to replicate the essence of authentic Italian pizza, embracing age-old methods and only the most superior ingredients.
What started off as a humble 12-seater pizzeria has flourished into a well-respected community staple, yet our dedication to craftsmanship and genuineness hasn't changed. We still implement classic wood-fired oven baking, prepare our dough from scratch every day, and prioritize sourcing top-tier components.
The family name of 'MellowTone' continues to oversee our establishment with the next of the Johnson's guiding our devoted team. Even with a few contemporary updates, our core purpose remains: to make scrumptious, sincere pizza that unites our community.
